Therapy fees and appointments
Therapy fees and appointments are agreed according to the support you need, including couples therapy, individual counselling, teen support and family work. The arrangement covers who attends, session length, frequency and how we review the work. I offer a free 20 minute introductory chat to discuss your enquiry before you decide whether to book a consultation. Please ask me for current fees and availability; we will also discuss payment and cancellation terms before ongoing sessions. Appointments are in Brighton and online where suitable.
Find out the cost before deciding
You should know the cost of the work before committing to appointments. Tell me which service you’re considering and we can discuss the fee, session length and proposed frequency.
For family work and supervision, we can also clarify who will attend and what the arrangement needs to cover.
The introductory chat
The first 20 minute chat is free. It gives us time to discuss your enquiry, answer initial questions and consider whether to arrange a consultation.
An initial therapy appointment is separate from that introductory chat. Please ask me to confirm the fee when we arrange it.
Ongoing appointments
We’ll discuss the practical terms before beginning ongoing work, including payments and cancellations. You can ask about likely frequency and how we will review the arrangement.
For couples, I generally suggest an initial consultation and then eight sessions before a review. Other services depend on the needs and approach we agree.
Health insurance
I’m registered with AXA. Please check your policy, any excess and whether authorisation is needed before booking. Cover for individual therapy does not necessarily include couples work.
For any other insurer, confirm both your policy cover and the proposed arrangement with me before proceeding.

Welcoming people across Sussex
You can ask about fees for appointments if you live in Brighton, Lewes, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Chichester. The local pages describe adult counselling for Burgess Hill, couples therapy for Lewes and teen support for Haywards Heath. My Brighton practice welcomes in-person appointments, while online work may suit you if coming in is difficult. We will discuss suitability and the quiet, private setting you would need before booking.
