My name is Louise Shuttleworth and I offer specialised psychotherapy for many daily challenges you may be facing. Including relationship counselling or couples therapy in Brighton, as well as all surrounding areas in East Sussex. My aim is to help you with any issues you might have in your relationship with your partner. in these trying times, I am also working a lot via online sessions, which many of my couples are finding really beneficial.
If you feel like you might not be getting anywhere with solving problems between the two of you; it’s understandable that you might feel like you could be on the edge of a breakup. Therapy is always a really positive step when working on a relationship. Unfortunately, however, many couples leave it as a last resort. Instead, couples therapy should be seen as a preventative step to keeping a relationship healthy.
I am a UKCP, MBACP Integrative Psychotherapist and AC Psychological Coach. In my private consulting rooms, or via online sessions, I can help couples understand behaviours towards each other. Ensuring that you understand where your differences lie.
As a result, using couples therapy can help you to understand the positive as well as negative habits you may have in a relationship. The majority of the time couples therapy helps steer relationships in the right direction.
This my sessions, I offer a system where both parties will be requested to contribute weekly in a methodological approach. In this way, a safe reflective space and practical tools to support improved communication and a path to improved intimacy will be taken.
Coming to therapy sessions might appear to be a daunting prospect. Understandably, it may at first be difficult to start opening up and talking about your feelings. This is why the initial session is an opportunity to see how it feels. There is never any obligation to proceed from this point. I will also be able to address any questions you may have to help you feel more at ease.
When approaching couples therapy, the process is always collaborative, and this should help you to understand each other’s problems and help you deal with them in future.
